If your business has a website, you need a contact form. Period.
A simple form lets people reach out, ask questions, or request a quote — and it’s one of the easiest ways to turn website visitors into leads.
You could use any number of free form tools, but if you’re planning to track leads and automate follow-up (which you should), I recommend Zoho Forms. It connects directly to Zoho CRM, which makes it easy to route new leads into your pipeline automatically.
Here’s how to set one up — fast.
Watch an Overview of this Webform Setup
Step 1: Create Your Free Zoho Forms Account
Head over to forms.zoho.com and create your account. There’s a free plan available, and setup only takes a minute.
Step 2: Build Your Form
Click “New Form”, and start dragging in the fields you want.
For most service businesses, a simple starter form looks like this:
- Name
- Phone Number
- "What can we help you with?" open text box
Here’s a power move:
Add a Hidden Field called Lead Source. Set the default value to Website Form. That way, when the form feeds into your CRM, you’ll know exactly where the lead came from — no guessing or tagging later.

Step 3: Connect to Your CRM
Go to the Integrations tab in Zoho Forms.
You can connect to:
- Zoho CRM (recommended for lead tracking and automation)
- Google Sheets
- Other tools via Zoho Flow or third-party integrations
Select Zoho CRM, and you’ll be prompted to:
- Choose the module (usually Leads or Contacts)
- Map your form fields to CRM fields
- Set up any rules or assignments
Now when someone submits the form, a lead is created instantly — and your CRM can trigger any automation you’ve set up, like sending a follow-up email or assigning the lead to a sales rep.
Step 4: Embed on Your Website
Once your form is done, go to Share > Embed and copy the iframe code.
Paste that into your website’s HTML wherever you want the form to appear. You can also use the popup, button, or link options if you're using a site builder like Wix or Squarespace.
And That’s It
You’ve now got a professional web form that:
- Feeds new leads straight into your CRM
- Tags the source for reporting
- Triggers automation without you lifting a finger
All in just a few minutes.
Bottom Line
You don’t need to be a developer to start capturing leads online.
Zoho Forms makes it easy to build a web form, connect it to your CRM, and start growing your business.
