What You Need
- A domain name (like yourbiz.com) — Namecheap is a great place to grab one
- About 10–15 minutes
- A calm “I got this” mindset — Zoho’s free plan is super user-friendly
How to Set Up Zoho Mail (Step-by-Step)
- Go to zoho.com/mail
Click “Get Started” under the Business Email section. - Choose the Forever Free Plan
Yep — it’s really free for up to 5 users, with 5GB each. Great for solopreneurs and small teams. - Enter Your Domain
Use the custom domain you already bought — like yourbiz.com. - Verify Ownership via DNS Settings
Zoho will guide you to add TXT, CNAME, and MX records to your domain.
If you used Namecheap: - Log into Namecheap
- Go to Advanced DNS
- Add the records Zoho gives you
- Click Verify
Once Zoho sees those records, your domain is officially connected. - Create Your Email
Add your first account — hello@yourbiz.com, support@, whatever you want. - Your Calendar Comes with It
Zoho Calendar auto-enables with your Mail setup, so you’re good to go.
Why This Matters
- Professionalism: Your email address looks official — not like you made it in high school
- Security + Privacy: You control your data, not Google
- Tools Included: Calendar, contacts, and Zoho’s whole productivity suite are right there
- It’s FREE: For real. No upsell traps. Use it as long as you want
You Did It
You now have a custom email and calendar — no Google Workspace subscription needed. That’s a real upgrade for your business.
No more sending invoices from craftqueen1998@gmail.com.
Just a clean, pro inbox that says, “Yes, I run things around here.”
