From Overwhelmed to Insightful: How I Used Zia in Zoho Analytics to Make Smarter Decisions
A few weeks ago, I had one of those “what am I even doing?” moments.
My business was humming: marketing campaigns running, clients onboarded, invoices sent. But I realized I didn’t actually know what was working. Where was my revenue really coming from? Which services were the most profitable? I had data… but no clarity.
And if you’re a small business owner like me, you know that feeling. We wear all the hats from sales, admin, ops, to strategy and we don’t have time to run pivot tables or build fancy dashboards.
So I tried something new: I opened up Zoho Analytics and gave Zia, Zoho’s AI assistant, a shot.

How I Used Zia in Zoho Analytics
I typed a simple question into the search bar:
“What was my top revenue service last quarter?”
Within seconds, Zia pulled in the data from Zoho CRM and Zoho Books, did the math, and gave me a clean, readable chart. No report-building. No formulas. Just the answer I needed.
So I kept going:
- “Who are my top 5 clients by invoice total?”
- “What’s my profit margin month by month?”
- “Which marketing campaign brought in the most deals?”
Every question gave me immediate, visual insights without me needing to know SQL or set up a report.
And here’s the kicker: I realized the service I thought was my main moneymaker... actually wasn’t. Meanwhile, one I nearly phased out was performing way better than expected.
This little experiment changed how I plan my offers, my time, and my marketing focus.
Why I Think You Should Try Zia in Zoho Analytics
If you’re a small business owner using any part of Zoho (CRM, Books, Projects, or others), you likely already have valuable data. You just need to see it clearly. Zia gives you that without the overwhelm.
Even if you’re not a data person (I’m not), you can ask plain English questions and get smart, actionable answers.
Try This
Open Zoho Analytics and type:
“Show me my revenue by service for the last 90 days.”
Let Zia handle the rest.
