How to Use Zia Email Insights in Zoho Mail

This feature doesn’t need any special setup. But here’s how to make sure it’s available and how to use it effectively:


1. Make Sure Zia Is Enabled

If you're on a paid Zoho Mail plan (or Zoho Workplace/Zoho One), Zia is likely already turned on. To double-check:

  • Go to Settings > Zia
  • Make sure Email Insights is enabled under Zia Preferences

2. Open a Long Email Thread
Zia only shows summaries for email threads with multiple back-and-forth messages, ideally with 3+ participants or 5+ messages.


When you open one:

  • Look for the Zia Email Insights panel on the right-hand sidebar
  • Or click the Zia icon near the top of the thread

You’ll see a breakdown like:

  • Subject Summary: “Discussion about contract revisions and payment terms.”
  • Pending Tasks: “Client awaiting confirmation of revised invoice.”
  • Latest Action: “Last reply from Sarah at 3:40 PM.”


3. Click Through for Context

If something in the summary catches your eye:

  • Click the related message snippet
  • Zia will jump to that part of the thread so you can respond or follow up directly

Bonus Tip: Combine With Smart Reminders

If Zia catches a “follow-up” or pending question, she can also offer to remind you to respond later.

So not only do you get the context—you get the next step automatically.
