There’s a new feature that lets you filter records in one module based on related module fields — and I’ve personally been waiting for this forever.

Whether you're a sales manager trying to dig into deal data or a marketer building segmented lists, this gives you a whole new level of flexibility in how you view and slice your data.

What’s the Update?

You can now filter records in any module based on fields from a related module.

This means you can run far more specific, cross-module queries right from your list view — no reports needed.

Real-World Example: Filtering Contacts by Deal Data

Let’s say you’re in the Contacts module. Now you can:
  • Filter for Contacts who have at least one Deal
  • Refine that further by saying:
    • The Deal amount is over $10,000
    • The Deal Owner is a specific user
    • The Deal is in a particular Stage

This lets you look at Contacts based on their connected Deal data, right in the list view, without having to build a custom report or workflow.

Where You’ll See This

You’ll find this option anywhere you can apply filters in the module view list.

Just click Filter > Add Filter, then select fields from a related module.

It’s intuitive, fast, and gives you access to the kind of filtering power that used to require workarounds.
