Set Up Google Business Profile Using Zoho Publish

If you want local leads, your Google Business Profile can’t be “we’ll do it later.” Later is how you stay invisible.

Zoho Publish lets you connect and manage your Google Business Profile location(s) in one place, which is especially useful if you have multiple branches or you manage profiles for clients.

This post walks through the exact click path from your video script, plus the gotchas that usually derail people.

Prerequisites you need before you click anything

  1. Access to the Google account that manages the Business Profile (the owner or a manager with permissions).
  2. In Zoho Publish, you should have the right org role to connect accounts and manage locations (owner or admin is the safe assumption for most orgs).
  3. If you do not have a Google Business Profile yet, you will need to create and verify one first, then connect it in Zoho Publish.

Step-by-step: connect Google Business Profile to Zoho Publish

  1. Go to Zoho Publish and click Connect and Manage.
  2. Choose Google Business Profile (GBP).
  3. Sign in with the Google account connected to the Business Profile.
  4. Click Continue and accept the permissions and terms.
  5. Zoho Publish will list the verified Business Profiles available on that Google account. Select the location(s) you want to manage.
  6. Create or choose a Group to organize your locations (helpful for multiple branches or client accounts).
  7. Agree to the terms and click Connect and Manage to finish.

Quick tip: wrong Google account problem

If you are already logged into Google and Zoho keeps showing the wrong profile list, you are probably authenticated to the wrong Google account. Zoho’s own help flow explicitly calls out using the correct account or choosing Use another account.

If you do not have a Google Business Profile yet

You will need to create the profile first, then return to Zoho Publish and connect it.

One important reality check: Google has eligibility rules. In general, you need to meet customers in person, and PO boxes are not allowed for the address.

Also, check whether Google already created a profile for your business. Duplicates can split reviews and confuse customers.

After connection: manage locations and start posting

Once connected, your location(s) appear in Zoho Publish so you can manage profiles centrally, which is the whole point of using Publish in the first place, especially with multiple locations.

Quick win: use Google Posts to look active

If you want easy local visibility momentum, start publishing Google Posts (Updates, Offers, Events). This keeps your profile active directly inside Search and Maps, and Zoho’s ecosystem is built to support that kind of publishing workflow.

Troubleshooting checklist if your locations do not show up

  • You are not signed into the Google account that owns or manages the profile.
  • The profile is not verified yet, and Zoho Publish only lists verified profiles for connection in the flow shown.
  • You are trying to connect a business setup that does not meet eligibility requirements.

Wrap-up

Once your Google Business Profile is connected to Zoho Publish, you are set up to manage location data and stay active with posts without bouncing between tools.
